South Essex local business Miru 3D and Blatella Films Ltd. recently had footage shown on prime-time TV as part of ‘Susan Calman’s: Grand Week By the Sea’ (E4).
Last summer Blatella films were commissioned by Visit Southend to capture footage for upcoming tourism campaigns, which were released earlier this year to coincide with the easing on lockdown restrictions.
As part of the filming Blatella Films worked with Miru 3D to capture breath-taking aerial footage of the area with their drone.
Blatella Films were approached by IWC Media (producers) as the weekend they were due to film in Southend had been forecast quite a bit of rain. Fortunately, the footage Miru 3D and Blatella Films had of Southend had been shot on a cloudless sunny day providing unbeatable shots of the pier and seafront.
“It was amazing to see the footage we captured with Billy (Miru 3D) on TV, and to see our companies in the credits was a real joy.” Said Natalie Scarsbrook of Blatella Films.
Billy Haynes, Director of Miru 3D, said “We’re always pushing the standard and striving to be the best and I think the footage shows exactly that.”
When asked what they look for in a drone operator Natalie said “We would always go to Miru 3D first, they’re knowledgeable about getting the best aerial shots and they take all the safety precautions needed. It was lovely to work with another local company on something like this.”
You can see the footage used of the pier here.
