Great ideas to bring teams together and give back in the new year.

£50 challenge

There is still time to get involved in Farleigh’s £50 Fundraising Challenge which has been extended to 31st March 2026.

It is a positive, feel-good way for colleagues to work together and unleash their creativity for a good cause, plus it contributes to corporate social responsibility (CSR) goals. Fundraising for Farleigh is also a great way for businesses to connect with clients, customers and the general public, by showing support for their local hospice charity.

Farleigh will provide the initial £50, which has been generously donated by Ellisons Solicitors. Every organisation taking part will be given a Fundraising Toolkit to help them make their £50 go further. This includes fundraising ideas and a £50 Challenge poster plus a thermometer-style progress tracker to show how much they are raising. Farleigh’s fundraising team will also be available to share their expertise and offer support to help them grow their investment.

Fundraising can take place any time until 31st March and can be through one big event or several smaller ones. The £50 could be spent on ingredients for a cake sale, prizes for a raffle, organising an exciting event or taking on a spectacular challenge to boost funds.

This is an opportunity to turn £50 into something extraordinary by helping Farleigh Hospice to bring comfort and care to local people when they need it most.
Farleigh Hospice provides compassionate specialist care to adults with life-limiting conditions and their families plus bereavement support to adults and children across mid Essex. The charity makes no charge for any of these services and relies on income from activities like the £50 Fundraising Challenge.

Raising £250 could fund a workshop to help bereaved children and families to cope with their grief. £670 could pay for a patient’s 24-hour stay in Farleigh’s specialist inpatient unit at its hospice in Broomfield, Chelmsford.

The Magic of ReGifting

This festive season, if you receive a gift that’s not quite your style, why not turn it into something truly meaningful. Regift your unwanted items to Farleigh Hospice and they will use them as auction and raffle prizes at Farleigh events throughout 2026 – helping to raise much-needed funds for the hospice.

The Fundraising Team are always in need of attractive items, including alcohol, to make up fabulous raffle prizes that make lots of money for Farleigh throughout the year!

As a business simply order a regifting box from the Hospice, place it in a prominent area that is visible to all, fill it up and then return it to them or they can arrange a collection. Order your box.

For more information on regifting your unwanted items or the £50 challenge please email fundraising@farleighhospice.org or call the fundraising team on 01245 457411.
