The Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner (PFCC) for Essex, Roger Hirst, is inviting feedback from residents, businesses and communities across Essex to help shape the funding plans for Essex Police and Essex Fire and Rescue Service for 2026/27.
We’re asking for your support in sharing the PFCC Precept Survey with your colleagues and networks to ensure the voice of the business community is heard.
Complete and share the survey here.
Why it matters:
- Crime in Essex is down 16.5% since its peak in 2019, with knife crime and anti-social behaviour also significantly reduced.
- Fire-related injuries and accidental house fires have dropped, while response rates have increased.
- Continued investment is needed to maintain and improve these services and your input will help guide future funding decisions.

The survey takes just four minutes to complete and is open until Monday 17th November 2025, with a possible two-week extension.
Please share this link with your teams and encourage them to have their say. Together, we can help ensure Essex remains a safe place to live, work and thrive.
Thank you for your support.
