Ellisons Wins Wilder Business Award at Essex Wildlife Trust’s Wilder Essex Awards 2025

Ellisons has been named winner of the Wilder Business Award at Essex Wildlife Trust’s prestigious Wilder Essex Awards 2025, recognising the firm’s outstanding contribution to wildlife and environmental conservation across Essex.

In 2024, Ellisons dedicated a year of fundraising to Essex Wildlife Trust, raising £16,680 to support the charity’s vital conservation work. The firm also provided pro bono legal services to facilitate the purchase of Fir Tree Wood, ensuring the woodland is safeguarded for the benefit of wildlife and the community for generations to come.

Guy Longhurst, Managing Partner at Ellisons, said: “We are honoured to receive the Wilder Business Award. As a firm rooted in Essex for over 250 years, we are proud to support the communities and landscapes that make our county special. This award is recognition of the incredible enthusiasm shown by our people throughout the year, and of our shared commitment to protecting the natural environment for the future.”

Philip Roberts, Partner in Ellisons’ Commercial Property Team, who collected the award on behalf of Ellisons, added: “It was a privilege to accept this award on behalf of all my colleagues. Everyone across the firm played their part in our year of fundraising, and to see that effort recognised by Essex Wildlife Trust is a proud moment.”

Rich Yates, CEO at Essex Wildlife Trust, commented: “The Wilder Essex Awards celebrate businesses, communities, schools, and individuals making a difference for wildlife. Ellisons has shown exceptional commitment to wildlife through their fundraising efforts and their generous donation of professional expertise. Their support has directly helped us secure Fir Tree Wood, protecting a special place for nature and people across Essex.”
