Well, I suppose I had better start with an introduction! I’m Matt Williams, the Managing Director of Ask Us Drain Services Ltd. I have been in the drainage waste management sector for over thirty-one years now and I started the Business a little over fifteen years ago serving Colchester and the surrounding areas. I was simply a guy with one van and a high-pressure water jetting pump in the back and a CCTV drain survey camera that was video in those days.
Over time my reputation grew. Other local plumbing and drain companies would sub contract some of their work to me as I had a good background in unblocking drains and fixing burst pipes covering emergency call outs. Gradually, as my workload increased, so did my need for help to meet the demand; I bought a second van and took on Mark Daniels, a man I knew well and trusted. It was from here that the company grew and continued to increase in size, maintaining the standards I had set from the outset with happy and content customers. From this, Ask Us Drains was built.
Over fifteen years we have expanded our number of personnel, both in our engineering department as well as taking on clerical and admin staff. We are continuing to expand having just moved into a new, larger site in Colchester’s at Angora Park Business Park to home our ever expanding team of 12 professionals, delivering drain and water leak solutions around London and South East England.
We ensure our staff are trained to the highest standards whether it is in Health & Safety, standards or commercial tool certifications so our workforce remain qualified
experts you can rely on.
We get many clients saying “can you fix it?” If a rocket can be flown to the moon, Ask Us Drains can solve a troublesome drain! We have secured work for over 12 years with The City Of London fixing a leaking drain running under the Barbican lakes, stopped the basement boiler room from flooding and being knocked out in the Guildhall and fixed sewers under St. Paul’s Cathedral that was suffering with damage caused in the Blitz! Our Team quite often carry out sewer entries into the
City’s Joseph Bazagette sewers. We thrive on a challenge and NEVER say no!
In line with our material expansion, our digital presence is also having a makeover. Our aim is to make our services easily accessible to the general public so we have
increased our social media presence, have a brand new website coming soon and continue to have our 24 hour emergency phone line. Our brand is developing in leaps and bounds reminding people that Ask Us are proactive, trustworthy and reliable experts in their field with a strong support from industry contacts.
Ask Us is leading the industry’s path in commercial drainage with the majority of our clients are businesses. We are working hard to inform the residential market that our expertise extends to domestic properties. We are here for everyone and we get as much satisfaction unblocking a drain at a family home knowing their problem is fixed, hassle free. No job is too big or too small as we are here to serve the community.
These are exciting times for Ask Us Drains as we move forward with the current market, branching out into new areas, expanding our means of communication and focusing on serving our community. We have been warmly welcomed into the Essex Chamber of Commerce and we hope that this union will be beneficial to all parties involved. I look forward to developing new friends and relationships with you all so please do come say hello. If we don’t bump into each other make sure you add 0800 075 3413 to your phone contacts so you always have an emergency drain company on hand!
